Who
Céline (she) intervenes mainly in proceedings involving labour and criminal law issues, as well as before international human rights bodies (UN mechanisms, European Court of Human Rights). Her areas of specialisation are the protection of workers' rights, freedom of association and equality and non-discrimination.
Before founding Peter & Moreau, Céline practised as a lawyer in Paris and San Francisco and worked for several years as an international civil servant for the International Labour Organisation.
In addition to her work as a lawyer, Céline is regularly commissioned as an expert by the International Labour Office to evaluate the compliance of national systems with international labour standards and to support the development of new international conventions.
She is a member of the Geneva and Paris Bars. She is also a member of the Committee of the Association of Progressive Lawyers (AJP), of the Geneva Bar Commission (ODAGE), of the Swiss Society of International Law and of the International Lawyers Assisting Workers Network (ILAW).

Olivier (he) acts before Swiss and foreign courts, mainly in the field of criminal law and public international law. Particularly experienced in the management of complex proceedings, he is specialized in extradition cases as well as in international proceedings. He regularly presents claims before United Nations mechanisms and other international bodies in order to assist human rights defenders and victims of torture or other ill-treatments.
His expertise in these areas has allowed him to obtain ten judgments in his clients’ favor by the European Court of Human Rights. He is currently involved in about fifteen other cases pending before this same Court or before United Nations committees.
Olivier is a member of the World Organization Against Torture (OMCT) Board as well as of the Thematic Council of the International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights (FIFDH) and of the Network of Lawyers Specialized in Legal Assistance to Victims of Human Trafficking of the Council of Europe.
He is also a member of the Association of Progressive Lawyers (AJP), the Geneva Bar Commission (ODAGE), the Swiss Society of Jurists, the Swiss Society of International Law and the Swiss Society of Criminal Law.
He practices in French, English, Spanish, Italian and Catalan.

Milena (she) specializes in criminal law, human rights law and immigration law. She represents clients primarily in Swiss criminal, civil and administrative tribunals. Before joining Peter & Moreau, she obtained a Master’s degree in law from the Universities of Geneva and Toronto and a Certificate in Transnational Law from the University of Geneva. She completed her two-year traineeship in the Law Office of criminal defense attorneys Jean-Marie Crettaz and Arnaud Moutinot.
Actively engaged in the fight against discrimination and the protection of minority rights, Milena co-authored a legal brochure on LGBT+ rights, published by the University of Geneva in 2019. The same year, she co-organized the seminar "Addressing gender and discrimination in the teaching of the law” at the Law Faculty of the University of Geneva.
Milena is a member of the Swiss-French Network Gender, Law and Sexualities, the legal clinic for unaccompanied minors, the Association of Progressive Lawyers (AJP) and the Geneva Bar Commission (ODAGE).
She practices in French, English and Bulgarian.

Valerie (she) holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and a bilingual Master's degree in Public Law from the Universities of Geneva and Basel. She joined Peter & Moreau in 2020, after working as a jurist for the UNIA trade union. She is specialised in labour law and criminal law. She handles judicial and extra-judicial proceedings, focusing mainly on defending victims of discrimination and human trafficking.
Valerie is a committee member of the Association Viol-Secours and co-president of the Association of Progressive Lawyers (AJP), she also participated in the establishment of the AJP Student Section. She developed her skills in human rights law through a wide variety of engagements, including her participation in the Law Clinic of the University of Geneva on LGBT+ rights, the organization of the Human Rights Film Festival of Lugano and interning with the World Organization against Torture (OMCT).
She practices in French and Italian and speaks English, Spanish and German.

Carlo (he) is an attorney licensed in Geneva who is committed to the defense of fundamental rights and international solidarity. He is a former activist in the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa and has intervened regularly in Colombia, Palestine and Turkey.
Drawing on his extensive experience at the Interprofessional Union of Workers (SIT), Carlo is the current national president of the Swiss Tenants Association (ASLOCA). He is also an experienced federal parliamentarian and is currently a member of the Council of States (senator) of the Canton of Geneva, where he sits on the legal affairs and foreign affairs committees.
He practices in French, Italian and Spanish and speaks English and German.

Bénédict de Moerloose (he) engages principally in international law proceedings. His areas of specialization are international criminal law and international human rights law.
Prior to joining the firm, Bénédict headed the International Investigations and Litigation Program of the NGO TRIAL International for ten years, conducting investigations and filing complaints on the basis of universal jurisdiction against individuals and economic actors suspected of international crimes.
Bénédict holds an LLM from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London (SOAS) and a law degree from the University of Geneva.
In addition to his work as a lawyer, Bénédict is a consultant in the field of international criminal law, a member of the expert pool of Justice Rapid Response, a member of the Association of Progressive Lawyers (AJP) and a member of the boards of elisa-asile and Turpial.

Chloé (she) acts before the French and Swiss courts, with a particular focus on family law and criminal law.
Chloé holds the French Bar Certificate as well as a Bachelor's degree in Swiss law, and she initially practised exclusively in France, at the Thonon-les-Bains Bar. Today, she is also a member of the European Union Bar Register in Geneva and this allows her to offer and to adopt a global approach to cross-border situations.
Particularly concerned by children's issues, Chloé worked for several months in Ethiopia with the African Child Policy Forum (ACPF) - a pan-African organisation that lobbies for children's rights - contributing to harmonise child protection laws.
Chloé is a member of the Syndicat des Avocats de France (SAF) and the Ligue des Droits de l'Homme (LDH).
She speaks French and English.

Emma (she) holds a Master's degree in International and European Law from the Universities of Geneva and Sydney. She completed her traineeship at Santamaria & Jakob Avocats and was admitted to the Geneva Bar in 2020.
Emma advises and represents clients in the fields of labour law (especially gender equality cases), immigration and asylum law, human rights law and public international law.
Prior to joining Peter & Moreau on February 1, 2022, Emma worked as a lawyer for the UNIA trade union, with a particular interest in issues of discrimination at work, mobbing and sexual harassment. She also gained experience in asylum law and international refugee law while defending asylum seekers turned away by the Australian government on Manus Island in Papua New Guinea.
Emma is a member of the Association of Progressive Lawyers (AJP), the committee of the Democratic Lawyers of Switzerland (JDS/DJS), the Swiss Institute for Feminist and Gender Law Studies (FRI) and the Swiss League for Human Rights (LSDH).
Emma practices in French and English, and speaks German and Norwegian.

Nina (she) has a solid experience in criminal law acquired in the Geneva Court of Justice, where she worked as a law clerk for several years after obtaining her bar exam in the canton of Bern. She uses her expertise in complex and voluminous cases, as well as her ability to synthesise information, to advise and represent clients before the criminal courts, but also before the civil and administrative courts.
Particularly committed to women's rights*, Nina has been part of the collective created within the Judiciary for the feminist strike and participated to the organisation of a conference cycle on "Gender and Law" within the Association of Progressive Lawyers (AJP). Today, she continues her commitment as a guest member of the Committee of the Association for the Support of Victims of Domestic Violence (AVVEC).
Nina is a member of the Association of Progressive Lawyers (AJP) and of the Swiss Society of Criminal Law.

Samy (he) holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Lausanne and a Certificate in Transnational Law from the University of Geneva. He completed a Master of Law at the University of Zurich and spent his last semester at Sciences Po Paris. During his studies, he actively participated in "Moot Courts" in national and international law.
Before joining Peter & Moreau in February 2023 as a trainee lawyer, Samy did an internship at the Europe Division of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs in Bern. He also volunteers as legal advisor in the International Human Rights Litigation team at Asylex, a Swiss NGO assisting asylum seekers.
He is a member of the Association of Progressive Lawyers (AJP).
He speaks French, Italian, German, English and Arabic (Tunisian dialect).

Anuka (she) holds a Bachelor's degree in Socio-Economics as well as a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Law. Within the Law Clinic programme of the University of Geneva, she co-authored a brochure on the rights of unaccompanied young people.
Before joining Peter & Moreau as a trainee lawyer, Anuka worked as a jurist for the F-information association and the Aux 6 Logis association. Involved in several others associations, she also gave legal advice within the Legal permanence of the Silure.
Anuka is a member of the Association of Progressive Lawyers (AJP).
She speaks English and French.

Anna (she) coordinates the administrative activities of the firm. She holds a License in International Relations from the Graduate Institute in Geneva and a License in Translation and Interpretation from the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. Prior to joining Peter Moreau, she worked for several years for the Geneva-based literary group Société de Lecture as an administrative assistant. Anna also worked as a translator for many institutions and film festivals, including the International Film Festival and Forum for Human Rights (Geneva FIFDH). In Barcelona, she worked for the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Government) in the Unit in charge of the activities of the Catalan communities abroad, where she was in charge of an internship program.
Throughout her studies, she has developed a strong interest in human rights. She worked part-time as a guide for the United Nations Office in Geneva and interned with the Information, Coordination & Management Unit of the Special Procedures Division of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
She works in French, English, Spanish and Catalan.

Ruza (she) holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations (UNIGE) and a Master's degree in Public Management and Policy (UNIL - IDHEAP). She is involved in the firm's development and management, is in charge of the communication and contributes to the definition and implementation of internal strategies.
Given her interest in equality policies and her knowledge of the public sector, she possesses solid skills in inclusive management and workplace well-being. Before joining Peter & Moreau, she worked as a specialist on an investigation concerning cases of discrimination and sexual and moral harassment reported within a major public radio and television channel.
Particularly sensitive to gender and integration issues, Ruza has - among other things - collaborated on several editions of the Geneva International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights (FIFDH) and the Geneva International Queer Film Festival (Everybody's Perfect). She has helped the organisation of events on racial discrimination and has led conferences on Bosnian war crimes (1992-1995) at the Lugano Film Festival on Human Rights (FFDUL).
